The McKees moved permanently to Cashiers when Will entered Woodberry Forest school in Virginia. Later, he attended Cornell University where he received a B.S. degree from the School of Hotel Administration. Since 1989, Will and his wife, Becky, have operated the High Hampton Inn & Country Club, which has been in the family since 1922. The McKees have two daughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth, who join them as the fourth generation of McKees working at the family resort. In 1992 Will established High Hampton Realty.

It would be rare to find anyone with as much expertise about Cashiers real estate and as much passion for the quality of life that the area offers as Will and Becky. They are active members of the Cashiers community and the Church of the Good Shepherd. Will was also a founder and leader in the development of Summit School, Cashiers’ acclaimed charter school for grades pre-K through 8 and is an active supporter of The Nature Conservancy, Reach, Cashiers Humane Society and Cashiers Community Foundation, among other organizations.
